Beth Heller Conservation serves private and corporate collectors, cultural heritage institutions and allied arts professionals by preventing and mitigating damage to historic documents and works of art on paper, through preservation consulting and conservation treatment according to standards and best practices set out by the American Institute for Conservation of Historic and Artistic Works.

The studio is located in the historic Western Center for Conservation of Fine Art building in the Santa Fe Art District, Denver, Colorado.  The building offers free, off-street parking.  Artwork and documents are protected by climate control,  fire and burglar alarm systems.  It is a secure entry facility, so please call or email set an appointment so that we know to expect you.

Beth is a Master’s graduate of the University of Texas School of Information, and holds a Certificate of Advanced Study in Conservation of Library and Archival Materials, as well as an undergraduate degree in Fine Art from the University of Texas.  She was a Mellon Fellow in Conservation of Works of Art on Paper at the Balboa Art Conservation Center in San Diego, with internships at the Pinos y Sarriera Archives, Spain and The Minnesota Historical Society Paper Conservation Laboratory.  She is a professional member of the American Institute for Conservation (AIC), the Western Association for Art Conservation (WAAC), and was selected as a “Person To Know” by the Society of American Archivists for the July/August 2011 issue of their monthly publication.  In addition to more than 10 years of experience in paper conservation (restoration), Beth has served as the principal caretaker of the archives of the American Alpine Club Library for 4 years.
